I’ve never been taken with the idea of making a cake out of overnight oats but OMG WHY HAVEN’T I TRIED THIS BEFORE??!
You guys have to try this delicious recipe – it’s so delicious, healthy and easy to make!
1/2 cup oats
3 tbsp espresso shot (or to taste)
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tbsp maple syrup (or any other sweatener)
splash vanilla extract
opt: 1 tbsp protein powder + splash milk
filling: greek yogurt, cookie of choise (I used @foodspring ‘s protein choc chip cookie)
toppings: more yogurt, raw cocoa powder, coffee beans, cocoa nibs
Combine all ingredients and let sit for a few minutes so the oats become a bit thicker.
Line a small bowl with cling film and transfer half of your oats into the your bowl. Add a small layer of yogurt, crumble a cookie over and cover with the rest of your oats.
In the morning place on a plate upside down so the oat cake comes out.
Cover with yogurt and most importantly: dust with with a lot of cacao powder and ENJOY!
