I recently saw a video on @feelgoodfoodie where Yumna posts about making oatmeal…


I recently saw a video on @feelgoodfoodie where Yumna posts about making oatmeal cakes. They looked so good that I HAD to try to make one.

But I ran out of oats. 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️

So, I ended up using a half cup of oats, a half cup of steel cut oats, and a half cup of quinoa to make this.

I also went to use unripe bananas for this to ensure that SJ wouldn’t have an issue with it.

It was decent but let me tell you- if there’s only two people living in your household, make a smaller portion! I followed @feelgoodfoodie’s measurements and yeeesh! It’s too much for the two of us.

We have had this breakfast for two days in a row (so far)… we may become sick of it by the time we have this tomorrow.

But it isn’t all that bad tasting. My only true dislike is the use of quinoa.

🤷‍♀️ when you run out of oats, you have to find an alternative ingredient for your breakfast “cake”.

I do look forward to making this again, but trying for a different recipe.
